NJNA History
1. Established June 1993. Neighbours came together to oppose major rezoning applications in our area and looked for help from a community organization. We discovered this neighbourhood was unrepresented and Established the North Jubilee Neighbourhood Association.
2. September 1993. The First Public Meeting was attended by over 100 people from Victoria and Saanich. Saanich residents were, and are, welcome to attend the North Jubilee Neighbourhood General Meetings since the issues are shared by both municipalities.
3. February 1994. Incorporated as a Registered Non-Profit Society.
NJNA Constitution
a. To support a vision for the present and future growth of the North Jubilee Neighbourhood by monitoring its physical and social evolution as a family-oriented community.
b. To create a community forum by offering membership to all those who live, operate a business or own property in the North Jubilee Neighbourhood.
Primary Business
As stated in the constitution, our primary business is to be the "watchdog" of the neighbourhood; to keep our neighbours informed and to create a vision and plan for a healthy community.
